When we are on the road to living in alignment with our soul truth, the most important aspect is moving from our thinking mind into our intuitive knowing.
Our mind is a useful tool. It is not to be scorned or discounted. It serves a purpose in our human lives.
However, the world is now run by the mind. And that is what leads us all to great suffering.
Humanity, the only species completely run by the “rational” mind is literally destroying the only place that we have to live, as well as all the other species that call this floating rock home.
If each of us connected to our intuition, do you think we would be continuing on in this way?
Absolutely not.
So that is why the move from head to heart to gut, is essential to surviving and thriving in the coming decades.
We were never taught how to listen and trust our intuition.
The extent of my learning about my intuition was to “trust my gut” and it usually only referred to escaping possible scenarios where I, as a woman, might be the victim of assault.
What does it mean to trust our intuition?
Our intuition is the way our soul communicates with us.
Trusting our intuition means taking leaps.
Trusting our intuition means getting comfortable in the unknown.
Trusting our intuition means having deep faith in things we cannot see.
Trusting our intuition means believing in ourselves.
A soul aligned life is one that goes against almost everything the mind convinces us is right.
Our mind wants to keep us safe, keep us comfortable, keep us in what it knows.
The soul wants us to expand, to grow, to create, to learn.
It is through trusting our intuition and developing faith in the Universe and belief in ourselves that the magic can happen.
Listening to Our Intuition
Because the mind wants to keep us small and safe, we need to actively unlearn and unplug from our thinking mind.
We need to open the space to listen to our intuition first and foremost.
We need to learn how our intuition speaks to us.
We need to quiet our mind and trust what our intuition is telling us.
And then we need to take the action.
Try This Practice
Sit quietly with yourself.
Ask yourself questions you know the answer to, yes or no questions.
Is my name X? Yes
Was I born in Oklahoma? No
Tune in to how you feel with each of those answers. Where do you feel something? Do you hear something? Tune in to your body.
Through this practice, you will connect to how your intuition speaks to you.
After that it just takes continued practice, continued tuning in.
And doing it when you really really don’t want to.
When your mind is running you in circles, telling you exactly how it has to be. That is the exact moment you need your intuition most of all.
